After School Program

After School Program

Washington Elementary has an after school program with extensive academic support for students.

Our Mission statement for the Washington After School Program is to provide a quality out of school program that is safe, nurturing and educational environment where students can learn valuable life skills, develop character, make new friends, discover new interests, preparing them to become lifelong learners, and be responsible contributors to a diverse population.

At Washington’s After School Program, we offer a range of activities that will help each child continue to learn and grow.

Homework Hall, Computers, Art, and P.E.  We also partner with the Utah Food Bank to provide Kids Cafe.  Kids Cafe is a hot dinner that is provided free of charge to each student that is involved in After School.

All of these activities allow the children to gain a well-rounded FUN experience in the After School program.

"I have noticed a change in my son since he has come to After School. His Group Leader has a way of making each child feel special. He has taken the time to share positive things about my son with me. It’s good for me to hear because I do not see him interacting at school.  My son has been doing better in school since his group leader has taken an active role in his learning."      –Parent of After School student

Program Hours

Program hours for our after school programs are from 2:50 pm until 5:30 pm.  We hold After School pretty much everyday.  Only during SEP conferences will After School be canceled for sure.  Notice will be given out as soon as possible for any upcoming days in which After School program will not run. September 27th & 28th and February 14th & 15th are SEP conferences so no After School will be held those days.
