PTO/PFFOW

A "parent teacher organization" (PTO) is a group formed at a school that brings together parents and teachers to collaborate on activities and initiatives that support the students and overall school environment, often focused on fundraising and enhancing the learning experience for children; essentially, it's a way for parents to actively participate in their child's education by working alongside teachers. Here at Washington we often use the acronym PFFOW (Parents, Friends, Families of Washington).

Purpose: To foster a strong connection between parents and teachers, facilitating better communication and collaboration to benefit students.

Activities: PFFOW members often organize fundraising events, volunteer opportunities, social gatherings, and educational programs for students and families.
